The Nordic Association for Hydrology 50 years anniversary

CALL FOR PAPERS

(Deadline extended to 1st Feb 2022)

Dear Fellow hydrologists. The Nordic Association for Hydrology (NHF nhf-hydrology.org) turned 50 years in 2020. As one of the celebrating events, we invite for submissions of research-, review - and comment papers to be published in a special issue of Hydrology Research. If you want to submit a review- or comment paper, please contact the guest editor Kolbjørn Engeland (koe@nve.no). The papers should be relevant for hydrology and water resources in the Nordic and Baltic countries, provide novel contribution to the science of hydrology and water management, including:

● surface and groundwater hydrology, including physical, chemical, biological, and ecological aspects,

● hydrological processes, hydrological extremes and the impact of anthropogenic change on hydrological systems,

● methodological innovation regarding hydrological observations, data analysis, modelling and management,

● hydrological analysis for the design, operation and management of engineered and natural water systems, and associated structures,

● insightful analysis and new approaches to linking hydrology with the social, economic and legal aspects of water resource management,

● innovative, integrated and holistic aspects of the water-energy-food nexus. Please make sure that your paper follows the author guide lines before submitting your paper directly to Hydrology Research’s peer review system (http://www.editorialmanager.com/hydrology/default.aspx)

Please note that:

1. When you submit your work to the journal for this special issue, you should select the article type "Special Issue Paper OA", and the submission category: 'NHF 50 years Special Issue'.

2. Papers not prepared according to instructions or not full-filling the journal requirements on scientific quality and style will be desk-rejected by the Editor or the Guest Editor and will not be reviewed.

Key dates:

Deadline for manuscript submission: 1st Feb 2022

Expected publication: March 2022 (accepted papers published online immediately and ahead of issue publication date).
